Wow Meg you are keeping up with your Inktober drawings way better than I am. So far I’m only up to day 4 so I’m 4 days behind. And I’m making my drawings pretty small, so they don’t take too much time. How long does it take you to do an average drawing? Do you sketch them out in pencil first? 😀

This is my 3rd year going at it. My first year I only completed 13 drawings total and I didn’t follow the prompts! It was tough! My second year I was able to do all 31 but some days I had to do two or three drawings to catch up. This year is so much easier so far. Before October came I already made a list of ideas I wanted to do for each prompt so I wouldn’t waste time everyday trying to think of something. I do sketch them out in pencil first so I can get my proportions accurate. I try to keep it around an hour to 2 hrs to complete. (“Chicken” and “Drooling” took me 3 hrs though!) It’s really hard working full time and taking care of home responsibilities then adding a daily drawing on top of it all but this year I think I finally got it down! I keep my sketches small as well. My sketchbook is 5.5 in x 8 in.
